Creativity in the Classroom with Open-Ended Creation Tools

Students of all ages have a story to tell! From personal narratives in the English Language Arts classrooms to sharing the steps of an experiment in a Science classroom. In this session you’ll learn how designing opportunities for creation in the classroom empower students as learners and consumers. This session will introduce a variety of free and low-cost tools for Chromebooks, iPads, smartphones and web-browsers. Attendees will learn about Spark Video movie-making tool, Spark Page website builder tool, Spark Post image creator tool, Book Creator ebook creation tool, Synth podcasting tool, and more! Attendees will see student work samples and find inspiration for learning activities across the content areas.
